Position overview

What this role is about

Are you someone who enjoys creating videos, telling stories, writing, designing content, or finding interesting ways to explain things? Upptik Gives is looking for creative college students to help us turn career information into content that actually speaks to high school students.

As a Career Video & Media Intern, you’ll take ownership of one Career Cluster and bring it to life through short-form videos, voiceovers, visuals, written content, and student-friendly storytelling.

You do not need to be an expert in the career field you’re assigned. You’ll research the information you need, then use your creativity to turn it into content a teenager can understand and connect with.

This is not a traditional research internship. Research is the starting point — your main job is figuring out how to turn what you learn into engaging career content.

Scripts & concepts

Write voiceover scripts, hooks, and visual concepts for your videos.

Captions & written content

Student FAQs

Develop FAQs that answer the questions teens may actually have.

Visual storytelling

Combine video clips, photos, text, graphics, and other creative elements.

Qualifications

  • Enjoy creating short-form video or digital content
  • Like storytelling, writing, editing, design, or visual communication
  • Can explain information in a way that feels natural and relatable
  • Comfortable on camera, recording voiceovers, or producing videos behind the scenes
  • Detail-oriented and able to research information accurately
  • Dependable and able to manage a creative project from idea to finished product
